EEOC General Counsel Nominee Gets First Vote

A Senate committee is about to move forward the nomination of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s general counsel. While Sharon Gustafson was nominated more than a year ago, she still isn’t exactly a slam dunk in Republican or Democratic eyes, but perhaps offers a bit of something for everyone.

Lingering Nomination: Gustafson was first nominated in March 2018, and when that nomination expired, she was named again. This is the first vote she’ll receive since her initial nomination, Paige Smith, Jaclyn Diaz, and Chris Opfer report.
