The Crab Stop Seafood Bar & Grill LLC and The Crab Stop II LLC, based in Vero Beach and Sebastian, Fla., allegedly subjected a class of female employees to sexual harassment, the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Friday.
Ellis Buckner Jr., the restaurants’ co-owner and operator, allegedly sexually harassed multiple female employees, which was not addressed after they complained, according to the agency.
The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, with charges the restaurants violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the EEOC said.
The case is EEOC v. The Crab Stop Bar and Seafood Grill, LLC et al, S.D. Fla., No. 2:22-cv-14339, complaint 9/30/22
