The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission would provide employers with more information about the nature of workplace discrimination allegations under a newly proposed rule that would alter the alternative resolution process known as conciliation.
The proposal, released Thursday, would furnish employers with “a summary of facts and non-privileged information” used to determine that there’s “reasonable cause” to believe discrimination occurred, details about the basis for a worker’s allegation of bias, the methodology for any relief sought by the agency, and “identification of a systemic, class, or pattern or practice designation.”
