CCS Facility Services Inc. will provide payment and other relief to settle a complaint of sexual harassment in Renton, Wash., according to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
A female janitor was allegedly subjected to sexual comments and unwanted touching by a supervisor for a year though she allegedly made multiple formal complaints, the agency said Thursday.
Such alleged conduct violates Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The Denver-based company entered a pre-litigation settlement and will pay a sum to the worker in addition to updating its policies and procedures, the EEOC said.
