Education Department’s Grant Transfer Probed by Watchdog: Warren

The Government Accountability Office has opened an investigation into the Department of Education’s transfer of grant programs to the Department of Labor, according to an emailed statement from Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s office.

• The transfer was “a key step in the Trump administration’s efforts to illegally dismantle and abolish” the Education Department, the statement says
