Eden Foods Settles EEOC Sexual Harassment Lawsuit for $182,500

Eden Foods Inc. will pay $182,500 to settle a sex discrimination lawsuit in Clinton, Mich., the EEOC announced on Friday.

The agency alleged that the natural foods company’s male owner and president kissed multiple female employees without their consent and touched at least one on the buttocks. He also routinely made lewd comments, injected sex into marketing materials, and referred to females in crude sexual terms, according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Though employees made complaints, EEOC said the owner laughed and said, “all these girls want me,” in response.
