EBay Grants U.S. Workers 12 Weeks’ Parental Leave, Adds Benefits

EBay Inc. said it will give its U.S. employees 12 weeks of parental leave and enhance maternity and disability benefits, following other prominent technology companies as they seek to attract and retain talent.

“Changes in the workforce and demographics in the U.S. have made it increasingly important to provide workers with the flexibility and support they need to care for children or aging parents,” EBay said in a statement Dec. 4.

The San Jose, Calif.-based online auction company also will provide two weeks of paid time off for new parents in some foreign countries where benefits aren’t already available. EBay ...
