Updated fees for the EB-5 investor visa program were approved by the Office of Management and Budget, a final step before official release.
The EB-5 program allows immigrants a path to a green card when they invest in businesses creating jobs in the US. Most money invested through the program goes to enterprises known as regional centers that allow multiple visa seekers to pool funding.
Lawmakers raised minimum investment amounts for regional centers to $1.05 million or $800,000 in in targeted employment areas in a 2022 reauthorization of the program.
