EB-5 Immigrant Investor Group Asks Court to Hold US in Contempt

A California-based company has asked a federal district court to hold the government in contempt for failing to remove online statements about the deauthorization of immigrant investor enterprises.

Behring Regional Center secured a preliminary injunction last month blocking US Citizenship and Immigration Services from requiring that EB-5 regional centers reapply for approval to continue operating. In a contempt motion filed Friday, Behring told the US District Court for the Northern District of California that the agency has been slow to remove inaccurate information about the restart of the regional center program from its website.
