Dreamers Would Get Citizenship Chance in Bipartisan House Bill

A bipartisan group of House members plans to introduce legislation this week to provide a path to citizenship for young immigrants known as Dreamers, as well as others with temporary permission to be in the US.

The bill, which had also been floated in prior years, is likely to have a hard time gaining traction in the GOP-led House. But the bipartisan effort stands out at a time when Congress is starkly divided on border and immigration policies.
