More than 4,000 DoorDash couriers attempting to arbitrate misclassification claims asked the California Superior Court to block the company from issuing new arbitration agreements before the court decides whether to enforce its original one.
The couriers allege that DoorDash misclassified them as independent contractors rather than employees and seek to arbitrate these claims pursuant to the original agreement set forth by DoorDash, which required individual arbitration before the American Arbitration Association.
