Dollar Tree to Pay $150K in Safety Penalties After Late Contest

Dollar Tree Stores must pay over $150,000 in penalties for workplace safety violations after it failed to challenge them in time.

Dollar Tree said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration citations for violations at its Billings, Mont., store were not routed to the correct person within the company. That’s why it didn’t contest the citations within 15 working days of receiving them March 3, 2017.
