Members of the public now have 15 extra days to submit comments to the Labor Department on a pair of contentious wage-and-hour proposals.
The DOL’s Wage and Hour Division delayed this morning the public comment period to June 25, from June 10, on a proposed rule to narrow joint employer liability for franchises and other businesses. The agency also pushed back the deadline to June 12, from May 28, for comments on a proposal that would update the definition of regular rate of pay for determining overtime wages.
