Ashley Romanias has departed from her role as director of the Labor Department’s gutted federal contractor watchdog, according to an internal email obtained by Bloomberg Law.
Romanias announced her exit in a Friday message to staffers, marking the latest shakeup for OFCCP leadership as President Donald Trump continues his push to shut down the agency in his second administration.
The White House again proposed defunding OFCCP entirely, following Trump’s 2025 rescission of the executive order that established the agency’s core power to police contractors for race and sex bias.
