DOL Continues Homecare Crackdown in $2.1 Million Overtime Accord

A Philadelphia home health care agency has agreed to pay $2.1 million to workers after a U.S. Labor Department investigation found the employer failed to provide overtime wages.

Good Family Support Services paid workers straight-time rates rather than the time-and-a-half they were owed for hours beyond 40 in a workweek, the department said Thursday.

The back-wages owed to 456 employees, covering a two-year period, marked the second consecutive day in which DOL’s Wage and Hour Division has announced a significant recovery from a case targeting a Pennsylvania homecare company.
