DOL Consolidated Retirement Disclosure Rule Primed for Release

The White House has concluded its review of a U.S. Labor Department proposed rule that is expected to allow groups of retirement plans to file consolidated annual disclosure forms, setting up the measure for public release.

Review by the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs is usually the final step before a proposed rule can be released by the agency.

While the proposed rule’s text hasn’t been made public, Congress authorized the DOL and Internal Revenue Service to permit group filing, commonly referred to as “groups of plans,” under the SECURE Act of 2019. The law marked a ...
