DOJ Suit Over Alleged SpaceX Immigrant Hiring Bias Dropped

A legal battle between the Justice Department and Elon Musk’s SpaceX over alleged anti-immigrant hiring practices is over after the DOJ dropped its complaint against the rocket manufacturer.

The DOJ alleged in 2023 that SpaceX for years violated anti-discrimination provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act by discouraging refugees and asylum seekers from applying for job openings. Proceedings had been on hold for more than a year after SpaceX won an injunction by arguing the administrative law judge system hearing the case was likely unconstitutional.
