DOJ Names Acting US Trustee Director After Ex-Chief’s Ouster (1)

Ramona D. Elliott was named acting director of the Justice Department’s bankruptcy monitor, the agency announced Friday.

The appointment follows the firing of former US Trustee Program director Tara Twomey in March.

Elliott has served as deputy director and general counsel for the Executive Office for US Trustees in Washington since 2011. She previously served as acting director from April 2022 to February 2023, following the retirement of the former chief, Clifford J. White.
