An Ohio school district will pay $200,000 and implement employee complaint and related policies to resolve the US government’s lawsuit alleging a Black assistant high school principal faced discrimination and retaliation for opposing what he viewed to be a racially biased student dress code, federal court records show.
The Justice Department sued the Groveport Madison Local School District Board of Education Wednesday and then asked the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio to enter a consent decree settling the case.
