DOJ Cites eBay for Restraining Trade, Through Accord Not to Hire Intuit Employees

An alleged agreement between eBay Inc. and Intuit Inc. requiring eBay to refrain from recruiting or hiring any Intuit employees was an illegal restraint of trade in violation of Sherman ActSection 1, the Justice Department alleged in a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California Nov. 15 (United States v. eBay Inc., N.D. Cal.).

EBay is based in San Jose, Calif., and had $11.7 billion in revenue in 2011.
