A former emergency physician whose lingering Covid-19 symptoms led to job loss failed to provide enough evidence to get her disability bias and leave retaliation suit in front of a federal jury.
The worker didn’t tell Lee Memorial Health System when her initial accommodations no longer worked for her, and accommodations she proposed later weren’t reasonable, the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida said, tossing her Americans with Disabilities Act claims. She also lacks sufficient evidence linking her time off under the Family and Medical Leave Act to her firing, the Tuesday opinion said.
