Disney Unit Faces Ex-Analyst’s Whistleblower, Retaliation Claims

Disney Financial Services LLC, a Walt Disney Co. unit, must face a former financial analyst’s lawsuit alleging she was fired in retaliation for reporting revenue recognition violations to the Securities and Exchange Commission, a Florida federal court said.

DFS hired certified public accountant Sandra Kuba in 1999 as a financial analyst in its revenue and currency control department. She was promoted to senior financial analyst in 2013, a position she held until DFS fired her in 2017.
