Dish’s Federal Contracts at Stake in DOL Affirmative Action Suit

Dish Network Corp. should lose its government contracts and be barred from receiving new ones because it failed to send affirmative action program documents to the US Labor Department, according to a new agency lawsuit.

The DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs sued Dish Network this week, alleging that it refused to comply with agency information requests in a 2018 scheduling letter. Those letters launch OFCCP audits and require covered federal contractors to submit hiring and job placement goals for women, minorities, and other protected groups of workers.
