A former sales associate sued
Cathya Guzman alleges that although she regularly worked over 40 hours per week, the department store chain failed to pay her proper overtime compensation of time-and-a-half her regular hourly rate of $23 for the excess time, in violation of the FLSA, 29 U.S.C. § 207(a)(1). She also alleges she didn’t take bona fide lunchtime hours, but wasn’t paid for working during that time.
She seeks to recover unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees and costs. ...
