The Department of Homeland Security is pulling temporary immigration protections for several thousand nationals of Myanmar, the agency announced.
Temporary Protected Status relief will expire 60 days after the termination notice is published in the Federal Register Nov. 25. The program allows immigrants from designated countries to remain in the US for up to 18 months with eligibility for legal work authorization when conditions like armed conflict or health crises make a safe return untenable.
