The Democratic leaders of a House committee called for the head of the EEOC to publicly explain the agency’s proposal to rescind decades-old requirements for employers to report race and gender data.

House Education and the Workforce Committee ranking member Bobby Scott (Va.) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (Minn.) called for an oversight hearing with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Chair Andrea Lucas, a Republican, to examine the agency’s fiscal year 2027 budget request.
