Democrats Ask DOL to Extend Gig-Contractor Rule Comment Window

Two leading Democrats on a House committee with jurisdiction over the Labor Department requested the agency give the public at least 30 additional days to comment on a proposed rule that would make it easier for businesses to classify workers as independent contractors.

The department set a 30-day comment window, which will expire Oct. 26.
