Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) and Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) announced Jan. 23 that they had reintroduced in their respective chambers the Paycheck Fairness Act (bill numbers not yet available), which is aimed at combating the pay gap between men and women.
The measure has been introduced in Congress several times over the past few years. Most recently, DeLauro failed to bring the bill to the House floor for a vote last May (105 DLR A-14, 5/31/12).
