Delta Air Lines Inc. pilots approved a new contract with a 30 percent raise over four years, settling a rare dispute between the carrier and its aviators and raising pressure on labor costs throughout the industry.
Members of the Air Line Pilots Association ratified the tentative pact by 82 percent of the vote, the union said in a message to its 13,000 members on Dec. 1. They rejected a contract offer last year that would have given them a raise of almost 22 percent over three years.
