Delta Settles Flight Attendant’s Retaliation Claim Over Firing

Delta Air Lines Inc. has reached a settlement with a flight attendant who alleges she was fired in retaliation for filing a claim under the Family and Medical Leave Act, according to a filing in the Eastern District of New York.

Plaintiff Hillary Smallwood alleges the airline violated the FMLA when it fired her while her leave requests were being re-assessed by the airline’s third-party leave administrator.
