Deloitte Fails to Nix Women’s Parental Leave Class Claims (2)

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. and Deloitte Touche LLP failed to convince a federal judge in New York to throw out class claims that a company parental leave policy penalizes pregnant women when they return to work.

Deloitte sought to strike the class allegations, but the motion was premature and would be more appropriately argued when the workers seek class certification, said Judge John Koeltl of the Southern District of New York at a Wednesday hearing.
