Dell has agreed to pay $2.9 million to settle allegations of pay bias brought by the Labor Department’s federal contractor watchdog office, the company confirmed to Bloomberg Law.
It’s been a successful spring for the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. Humana also agreed in March to a substantial pay discrimination settlement after an audit. The insurance giant agreed to pay out $2.5 million to a class of 753 women in Louisville, Ky., who allegedly had been underpaid compared to similarly situated men.
