Delivery Drivers’ $4.75 Million Wage Settlement Gets Nod

A delivery drivers’ $4.75 million collective action wage settlement, including $2.9 million in attorneys’ fees and costs, got the approval of a federal judge April 17.

TFI International Inc. and TForce Final Mile LLC agreed to pay up to $4.75 million to resolve claims that courier drivers weren’t paid minimum wage or overtime, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The settlement covers some 367 current and former Velocity Express LLC drivers who signed the 2009 “Independent Contractor Master Agreement,” who are or were employed in the last three years, who worked over eight hours per workday or 40 ...
