Delaware Gov. Jack Markell (D) Jan. 30 signed legislation (S.B. 6) raising Delaware’s minimum wage to $8.25 per hour by June 1, 2015.
Markell signed the measure the same day it cleared both chambers along party lines, with only one Republican voting in favor and one Democrat voting against it. The vote was 27-14 in the House and 13-8 in the Senate.
