Delaware Catches #MeToo Wave as Harassment Law Takes Effect

Delaware employers may need to update their sexual harassment prevention training under a new law that takes effect Jan. 1.

The law, signed by Gov. John Carney (D) in August, broadens the types of workers covered by the Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act’s sexual harassment provisions. State employees, unpaid interns, job applicants, employees working for more than one company, apprentices, and employment agency workers will now be covered.
