‘Days of Our Lives’ Worker’s Race Bias Suit Sent to State Court

Sony Pictures Television Inc. lost its bid to dismiss race discrimination and related claims by the Black former directory of photography for the soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”

The ruling by the US District Court for the Central District of California addressed whether Vincent Steib’s claims under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and state tort law fell under a collective bargaining agreement between his union and co-defendant production company Beachwood Services Inc.
