Darden, GMRI Can Make Workers Arbitrate Sexual Harassment Claims

Two women who say their manager at a Longhorn Steakhouse sexually harassed them must arbitrate their claims against Darden Restaurants Inc. and subsidiary GMRI Inc., a Pennsylvania federal judge ruled.

The women, who sued anonymously as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, both signed the restaurant’s dispute resolution agreement when they were hired, which includes a promise to arbitrate employment-related claims after other steps in the dispute resolution process prove ineffective, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said.
