AOD Ventures Inc., has agreed to pay $22,500 to settle a race discrimination lawsuit filed by the EEOC in federal district court in Texas, the agency said Wednesday.
The company, which does business as Autos of Dallas, allegedly violated Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act by giving a Black car salesman a racist trophy at a holiday party, labeling him as the employee “Least Likely to Be Seen in the Dark,” according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
