D.C. Attorney General Targets Amazon Again Over Driver Tips (1)

Amazon.com Inc. could be on the hook for civil penalties on top of a previous $62 million settlement related to accusations of keeping a portion of delivery drivers’ tips, after District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine filed a new lawsuit against the e-commerce giant.

Racine on Wednesday announced a new complaint against Amazon and Amazon Logistics Inc., accusing them of defrauding consumers by using tips to offset the companies’ own labor costs while advertising to customers that 100% of tips would go to drivers.
