CWA District 3, AT&T Southeast Reach New Tentative Contract for 22,000 Workers

Communications Workers of America District 3 and AT&T Inc. Nov. 2 reached—for the second time in three months—a three-year tentative agreement to renew a collective bargaining contract covering 22,000 workers in the company’s nine-state Southeast Region, the company and union announced separately.

If union members vote to accept the tentative new contract, most employees would receive annual wage increases that would raise hourly pay by 8 percent over the contract term, while the defined benefit pension plan multiplier would increase 3 percent for most workers.
