CVS Workers Objecting to Class Wage Deal Want Appellate Review

A group of individuals who objected to a $9.75 million wage deal between CVS Pharmacy Inc. and 20,000-plus workers in California will ask the Ninth Circuit to review the final approval order, according to a notice filed Wednesday.

The notice of appeal comes shortly after Judge Andre Birotte Jr. overruled the objections raised by Ryan Hyams, Trent Andrews, and four other individuals. The objectors believe this settlement will allow CVS to avoid liability in their pending California wage lawsuits against the retailer.
