CVS Suffers Setback in Trade Secrets Case Against Cigna Hire

CVS Pharmacy Inc. isn’t entitled to a temporary restraining order against an insurance expert who left to work for its competitor Cigna, largely because the company hasn’t shown it’s likely to ultimately win its breach of contract or trade secret claims against him, a federal court in Seattle said.

Timothy Brown worked at Aetna, which CVS acquired in 2018, ultimately rising to chief Medicare officer for the northwest and mountain regions of the U.S.
