CVS Spoiled Union Election by Giving Workers Raises, NLRB Rules

CVS Pharmacy Inc. workers at a Southern California store can vote in a rerun election because a union’s prior one-vote defeat was tainted by the employer’s illegal conduct, the National Labor Relations Board said.

The NLRB on Thursday upheld an administrative law judge’s ruling that CVS violated federal labor law by announcing and granting wage increases during an organizing campaign at a store in Orange, Calif.
