CVS Pharmacy Employees Seek Approval of Increased Wage Deal

A group of CVS Pharmacy Inc. employees asked a California federal judge to grant final approval of a now-$10 million settlement that would resolve state wage and hour claims affecting 19,000 pharmacists and retail workers across the state.

CVS agreed to pay an extra $621,000, upping the total amount from $9.7 million to $10.3 million, to account for an additional 1,900 class members, according to the motion for final approval submitted Nov. 6.

The parties’ original agreement received preliminary approval in August by Judge Andre Birotte Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
