Commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield U.S. Inc. and a former worker reached a deal to end a lawsuit alleging the company ran afoul of a New York law requiring weekly pay for manual laborers.
The parties reached a settlement in principle and are finalizing undisclosed terms of the deal, they told the US District Court for the Southern District of New York this week. Judge Philip M. Halpern dismissed the case Thursday without prejudice and without awarding costs, with provisions for the court to reopen the suit if requested during the next 30 days.
