Crypto.com Arena Owner Defeats Ex-Employee’s Vaccine Bias Claims

The corporate entities behind the Los Angeles arena formerly known as the Staples Center secured a pretrial win ending a lawsuit alleging they wrongly fired a worker who sought a religious exemption to a Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

Anschutz Entertainment Group Inc., which owns Crypto.com Arena, demonstrated that accommodating the worker’s religious objections to the vaccine would have posed an undue hardship, dooming his claims, the US District Court for the Central District of California said Thursday.
