A Philadelphia-area police commissioner and mayor must face a police officer’s claims he was disciplined for wearing a dress to work, eyeliner on the job, and a Wiccan tattoo on his head and hands, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled.
Frank Light, who identifies as pansexual and as a Buddhist who practices certain Wiccan beliefs, was suspended and fired. He says he was told it was because of his arrest for driving under the influence but that two officers outside his protected groups were similarly convicted of DUI but weren’t disciplined.
That’s enough to state viable claims for disparate treatment ...
