Health-care workers in Rhode Island and in the Cincinnati area struck out on their bids to block Covid-19 vaccine mandates before they took effect Friday.
A Rhode Island federal judge on Thursday rejected a petition for a temporary restraining order that would bar enforcement of the state’s emergency regulation requiring health-care workers to get inoculated.
In a separate case, a U.S. judge in the Southern District of Ohio refused to grant a similar order to block vaccine mandates at five hospital systems in the Cincinnati region, including those run by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and TriHealth Inc.
