Denying a regional transit agency’s post-trial motions, a federal district court in New York Jan. 13 upheld a $1.64 million jury verdict in favor of Asian American transportation police officers who alleged the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s promotion practices discriminated against them in violation of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act (Port Auth.
