A Texas-based federal court paused proceedings in an industry group’s lawsuit seeking to overturn a Biden-era rule updating how wages paid to workers on federal construction projects are calculated, a sign the new administration’s plan to slash federal regulations is underway at the US Department of Labor.
Judge James Wesley Hendrix for the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas granted the stay request on Feb. 19, which was sought by both parties after the Trump administration said that new DOL leadership needed “time to review this litigation, including the claims that plaintiffs have asserted challenging the Rule.” ...
